Canada starts off strong in UFC Ultimate fighter!

My boy Kalib came out on top, the Canadian boy showing us proud up here in Canada. Here's hoping the rest of the tourney goes well. Anyone else into this show, it's the first one I've gotten into really, the last one I only cought the last couple episodes.
 
yeah me and my wife love the show watched both of the seasons theyve had so far.....I think the show was good tonight although it wasnt a good fight more of a punching display lol....They showed all season 2 on tv last weekend,did you miss it?

Didn't know it was on, but heard from a friend, wouldn't have minded watching it. Anyway, ya. that was totally a mismatched fight. The other guy was not in his class at all, sad really.
 
I hate people who actually "like" watching something as primitive as fighting.

That being said, I actually did watch the 1 and a half hour season three premiere of it on spike tv yesterday.

There's absolutely nothing primitve about what these guys do. They're amazing athletes, and it takes an amazing amount of conditioning to be at the top of this sport.
I find it amazing that people watch ball room dancing, or figure skating. And that some people actually call thems sports, but hey, that's me.

Careful you don't get addicted to it after your 90min initiation. I found it while channel surfing and have been hooked ever since! :)
 
Well, it's not like a addiction or anything, the main reason why I wanted to watch the third season was because of the potential funny fights between Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz.

I don't really like watching the UFC fights anyways because some of the time the fighters are overly cautious and refuse to just got at it 100%.
 
I had never seen anything about UFC until a few months ago cause a guy at my bar is training to be one. The fights are just brutal, and make me need to turn my head a little. I did watch that first episode though and i though the tension was pretty sweet between those too guys so if its on and i see it I am watching.
 
I agree about the brutality - I was shocked the first time I saw it but, I guess I must be de-sensitised to it now. I definitly appreciate the technical side of it more now.

The ultimate fighter 3 is an interesting reality spin off, especially the tension betw the trainers (Gotta love Tito) but, I do prefer the big events and the fights between the top guys - especially orlovski, that guy is an animal!!
 
Its def. intense and brutal, but thats why I love it so much. Nothing better than watching something on t.v. thats different from the corny american shows like bachelor where everythings setup, than 2 guys put into a octagon and kick eachothers asses. Mind the fact of all the training they go through, the mental and physical abuse they put onto themselves, along with the discipline. Season 3 should be good, that first fight was a little weak, but lookin forward to the rest of them.
