Can This Mileage Be Trusted?

I just started using my new stationary exercise bike, and noted that it's computer recorded 1.9 miles in
9 min. 30 sec.
; I had it set at the lowest resistance setting of 1...

Does that seem like a reliable recording--or does it seem kind of...bogus?

Thanks for any feedback

I would think of all the measurements on these types of equipment that mileage is the only thing that can be trusted because the revolutions of the wheel is fixed, regardless of who is on the bike and resistance settings.

I think you are right there...further research on this seems to reveal the various measurements as only
estimates, with the time, though, being the only reliable readout...

I'll be wearing my own pedometer/heart rate monitor the next time I "mount up"....

there is no possible way for it to be 100% accurate due to real life riding being totally different with no resistance kept the same, It is just there so that you can have something to track your progress by.
