I am going to start a new diet. Juicing for breakfast, a protein drink at lunch, and a small balanced meal for dinner. I need a natural protein shake or powder for my lunch. Thanks to recommend one or two.
Prolonged use of Protein Powders can be damaging on the Kidneys. I learned this the hard way. Since switching to a plant based diet I have learned about many scams; including those withing the Vegan and Paleo "movements."
I am not saying Protein is not important. I'm only know what works for me by taking note of what I eat and how it effects me. I only wanted to comment, because there is a danger to prolonged use of various supps. For me, protein powders whilst helpful in the beginning, added to issues with my Kidney.
I'm still early into a plant based diet - but so far so good. I look to consume foods with quality amino acids (complete amino acids) ... apparently amino acids and carbs play more of a role in muscle repair and that Protein has been sensationalized in a growing market such as fitness and the strive to live for ever. That kind of thing.
Just saying be careful what you read and or even told by this or that GP ... Be your own test - we are all different.
Best to have a balanced meal every time you eat.
