Spend some time reading the stickied threads to get get some ideas about exercising - not performing exercise is not a good thing at your age.. Get moving and you will go a long way to feeling better.

Also read the threads in nutrition and make sure you are eating enough...

How many calories a day are you consuming? How are you tracking thos calories.

IF You are an emotional eater - keep a food journal and write everything you put into your mouth down on paper somewhere AND how you're feeling at the time you're eating it - that will give you a clue as to why you're eating... and going forward you'll be able to come up with better options than eating..

What cravings are you having and why are you having them? is your diet plan too low calorie or one of deprivation? that will not work long term.. you need a realistic plan... and if you're just starting out - why are you even thinking plateaus -that's down the road and will probably happen but not for a while

If you get a thought process, to change a different relationship with food...

At moment you have a preoccupation...well try to make a ritual, a programme, like make a series of steps to be carried out of goal to be accomplished.
Select in the supermarket the good food to eat... for example.
One day (that day)...you think: "Today I'm going control the calories intake, today I'll respect my plan. And day after day, steps by steps...you "work" on it. Without too much severely...self-discipline with good motivation, to your self.

In this forum you have successful example of many person...maybe it's the motivation you need to do what you want.
