Can only work out 2 days a week.

Hey guys and gals new to the forum just wanted start off by say HI.

Also with my my long work and school days and busy schedule i am only able to work out on Sundays and Thursdays i was wondering if you guys could help a guy out with a good solid work out program with only 2 days a week possibly full body and looking to add some muscle and bulk up my 5'11 skinny body.
Also is it even possible to bulk working out only 2 days a week?

Any help would be great and also appreciated

This is similiar to the predictament I will be facing soon. About to start working as a taxi driver, and may possibly be working 84 hour weeks (12hr/day, 7 days). Not sure how much energy I will have left to train, but we shall see :(

So I'm also keen to hear any advice people may have.

two fullbody workouts would make better advantage of protein synthesis, use the big compound exercises and you will be working more os less every muscle group.

A two-day a week, full body routine will be okay. Granted, a three-day routine might be better, but sometimes you've gotta make do with what you have.

That said - do these 6 exercises (or variations thereof) each workout day:
Squat
Deadlift
Bench Press
Row
Military Press
Pullup

For your first and second exercises of the day, you should do squats then deadlifts, or deadlifts then squats, as they require the most energy.

Also, don't do bench and military presses back to back as they use some of the same muscles. Same with Row and Pullups.

Make sure you're eating properly (getting enough protein, carbs and fat, in the right quantities) as that'll make or break any attempt to build muscle.

Last, but not least, get plenty of rest.

Good luck.

What evan said. As an aside, check out the 15-Minute workouts in each monthly issue of Men's Health. Excellent for when you are pressed for time. make the most out of what you have.

That said, I will say once I started making some small sacrifices I found I had no excuses to prevent me from working out 5-6 days per week...if I wanted. I usually do 45-60 minute workouts and I travel 4 days out of each week with random work hours.

For me it's a life priority just like work and family. Sometimes, I make myself get up an hour earlier than I want, or meet my friends an hour later but I do my workout when and if I want to.

Not trying to bust your balls but I bet if you really wanted to you would find the time (or make the time) to work out as often as you ideally wanted to. :)
