Can I take light dumbbells on a plane?

I have a pair of 3lb dumbbells, the kind that is coated in colored plastic, that i need for physical therapy and i'm going on a trip. I probably will only have carry-on luggage. Does anyone think I'll have a problem getting them past security?
 
u could give customs a call
 
i would say with everything going on, u probably cant take anything.
