Can anyone help with my current diet?

Hi! So I'm about at my wit's end about this, but I've been doing a really high protein diet where I eat small meals of protein (mainly chicken, eggs, and tuna) with as little carbs as possible but I've reached a standstill where I'm not gaining or losing weight. I don't drink anything like sodas and I almost never eat any kind of sweets. Here's my general meal plan:

Breakfast: one or two eggs, fried and with about a tablespoon of soy sauce
Lunch: a pack of tuna, I'm in school so if I forget this I get a sandwich and eat it without the bread
Dinner: one or two chicken breasts. I drizzle them and soy sauce and add (very little) teriyaki sauce for flavor.
(I also eat smaller meals between lunch and bedtime for my metabolism)

Some other things I should mention:
  • I don't exercise much, but I'm open to do a regimen that I can do at home.
  • I drink about the standard 8 cups of water a day, though I do plan to drink more
  • I'm about 5'2'' and 225 lbs (157.5 cm at 102.1 kilos)
  • I'm open to hearing about and trying other diets if my weight absolutely won't go down with my current one
Also! @mods I'm very sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this in! ^^;

Welcome to the forum.

I would be starting to exercise. A good initial form of exercise is to go out walking. I suggest you buy a pedometer and wear it every day and aim to walk at least 10,000 steps each day.

It is quite normal for weight loss to falter after a while on a big project. It certainly happened to me on my big project. With a little bit of tweaking the weight loss tends to resume nicely.

Just a guess, but doesn't soy sauce have a lot of sodium? Maybe you are retaining water. Also, walking after a meal is good for digestion! :))

Far too much sodium.. And where are your fruits and veggies? How many calories a day are you having?

As someone who eats a keto diet I can understand a little more than some others here your choices in eating.

while eating this way you must be getting enough electrolytes so maintaining salt intake is important and what your eating looks good on the surface, however low carb does not mean low vegetable, green leafy veg like broccoli etc. is important to maintain good health with minimal carbs.

snacking between meals is not needed to maintain your metabolism, there are studies around showing meal frequency has little to no effect and the extra calories may be slowing your weight loss.

even with this way of eating, calories are important, do you track ? if so how much are you eating ? and what are your macros

any extra exercise you choose to do will help but the best exercise for you is something you enjoy, if the exercise you choose is not something you like doing it will become a chore and not a new good habit.
