I was reading a lablel for a few things and in fine print it said.. nutr. info. based on a 2000 calorie diet.. So my question is.. If someone is on a 1500 calorie diet.. would the calories be higher or lower that is on the label.. Does anyone know? Or does it matter??

the calories shouldn't change but on some labels over here in the nutrition section it will say how much of of your recomended daily intake of certain vitamins and minerals the product gives you, i dont know if this changes for different calorie diets or not.

I have a question about calories also... I've been eating about 1200 calories a day and they're generally healthy foods (fruits, yogurt, whole weat bread, etc.). But I've heard that my metabolism might go down because of eating less calories... Am I going about this the right way?

christina, i'm pretty sure the CALORIES stay the same, but its the % RDA of vitamins and stuff like that that would be different.

hateitall, that would depend on your activity level and also your BMR. but it sounds really low to me.
