Sport Calories for gaining muscle

Sport Fitness
I eat 1500 now, I've lost weight. I have a little more weight to loss. I want to gain muscle and am weight training. Muscle burns fat, so I want more.
How many calories should I eat?

more than that. i know, DUH! :p

although some places think that punching some numbers into a calculator that spits out how many calories you need is effective, thats far from the case. you need to go by your own results. begin increasing calories slowly, dont increase more than 300 a week at a time.

I still want to loose fat, so eating more calories with in my rmr while continuing to do cardio and weight lifting will only build muscle, not fat?
Will it actually burn more fat since my rmr will go up from eating more?

its hard to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. You can do it, but you won't gain a lot of muscle, and you won't lose a lot of fat. Think of each goal as being balanced on a scale. If you want to gain mass, you're going to sacrifice the rate of burning fat, and vice versa.

Having more muscle mass does cause you to burn more calories since you have to maintain that muscle.
