I'm 5'2 169 lbs. I was just wondering how much calories, carbs, fat and protein I should take in per day? I can't figure it out and I really want to take control of what I eat. So far I've been counting calories, and I've been eating from 1200-1500/day. But I have no idea how much carbs, fat and protein I should be eating. Does anyone know whats best for someone my size, trying to lost weight? :confused:

depends on what kind of diet you prefer ... some people try the atkins style, which is high fat, low carbs ... others, like myself, balance that out with high protein, low carbs ...
 
25% fat
30% protein
45% carbs

I would do this if you workout regularly.

There are many diets out there, I wouldn't recommend atkins, it's kind of a 3 steps forward 2 steps back thing with that and its very easy to gain back the weight very fast. And besides active individuals need carbs for a good energy source.
 
yeah I don't like low carb diets. so when you say 25% 30% and 45% of what? the calories you take in every day?
