Calisthenics??

Question: should I be doing calisthenics (puch ups, squats, crunches, etc.) as well as what I already do (200 minutes of cardio a week and 100 minutes of weight machines) or would that be too much. Is that something to add after a longer period of time of working out? Please help.

Goal: Lose 50 pounds in 6-8 months.
Stats: 5 ft 2, 183 lbs, medium frame
Current training program: 40 minutes of cardio 5x per week, 20 minutes of resistance training 5x per week, walking 45 minutes 4x per week.
Current diet: approximately 1500-1800 calories per day. No sugar if I can help it. Perhaps not getting enough protein. Staying away from refined carbs. Drinking mostly only water.
