bulky legs....need help!!

I am 50 pounds overweight and need to slim down all over. My legs (calves mainly) are huge now, abnormally large. I know it's good to have muscular legs and all, but this is so bad I don't wear pants that are short enough to show my calves. Is all that muscle that I can't get rid of? Is there fat under there that will burn off? I am really hoping my legs won't be this big forever! Anyone have any tips?? Thanks!

Walking works very well for toning up the calves and shaping your overall legs (quads, butt, hamstrings). Try speed walking on a level service starting out, then look for more tough terrain like hills. Make sure to get supportive shoes and wear enough sock padding or blisters will occur.

Along with walking, make sure your diet is clean and cut out all the excess calories like pop, candy, refined carbs and all the other junk food. Stick with lean protein sources and fresh fruit.

Hope this helps :)

Toning Legs and Calves!

One of my first thoughts would to focus on losing weight and toning your body all around. Once you get the weight loss results you want the nest tip is to focus on exercising but besides that it is all genetics.

Hi there,
Chances are that yes, as you lose weight they will slim down. Most of us have places on our body that are larger than others (I have more fat and msucle on my thighs than anywhere else) that leave us frustrated. If you are doing strength training don't train them. When you flex is the shape of the muscle real obvious and are they rock hard? If not, then you are probably holding some fat there which will come off as you lose weight.

Hope that helps.
