Bulking from Running - everyone asks it but i cannot find the right answer

hi everyone,

I'm 164 cms and weigh...well my scales are off but i weight around 57kg i think.

It's not so much that i want to lose the weight its more that i want to lenghten my body...and get rid of the extra jiggley bits.

I have been running 2 to 4 times per week. Between 3.5 and 4.5 kms in 25-35minutes.

My question is....why are my thighs getting a little heavier and how do you get the thinner thighs that EVERYONE rants about if you run!!!!

I have also tried bootcamps in small groups with a personal trainer and that did not help the case...my thighs got even bigger with lunges and so on.

I assume its partly genetic but does anyone have ideas on how to make my body a little leaner...

Ps. i very rarely drink, i don't eat lots of processed foods and i never let myself starve/over eat until i feel sick..the happy medium..I'm reasonably healthy and quite fit...

help?

Your thighs are getting heavier? Do you mean thicker? If so you are probably gaining weight, to stop that you need to eat less.
Does it look like fat or muscle?

the bulk is not fat.

its hard and toned. and i know people say that its ok but im confused why my muscles tend to get chunky rather than lean and long.

im quite a small frame and i know the difference between fat weight gain and muscle weight gain....its definately not fat - safe to say.

the more i exercise the muscle above my knee stands out more and the muscles under my butt start looking heavier. The same happens to my sister so its obviously a genetic thing.

But i guess what can i do to lengthen my muscles or is this it?

Doing lunges etc just made my muscles bigger as well.
