building muscle and losing fat, help pleaseeeeee

hi, i been working out on and off for a couple of years, its been more off than on
my current weiight is 230 am 5 11 and my bodyfat is 30% , please some help on a weight lifting routine and how much cardio to do, i have a membership at a big gym, so equipmengt is not a problem, help please!!!!!!
 
so you are going to try doing both? Get one of those big gym trainers to help you.
 
Gabriel, it depends on you goals, time commitment, age, gender, current health and so on. Give us a little more info so we can give you proper guidance.
You can and should do both weight training and cardio for overall health. Let us know what your goals are.
 
hi trek. i'm a male, 30, smoker(cutting down), i already lost 25 pounds in the past 4 months by dieting and weight lifting , my routine was twice a week an exercise per body part ex squats, bench press, military press , lat puldowns ,bicep curl and tricep pull down 4 sets 12 reps. but am a little lost about over training or training to little , am currently doing a 1800 calorie diet , time is not a problem neither equipment , my goal is to loose as much fat as possible and gain muscle if its possible, thanks i would really apreciate a good weight lifting routine and cardio. almost forgot my shoulders are kind of rounded to the front. thanks again
