Sport brown rice, black beans, sweet potato ?'s

Sport Fitness
I am trying to maintain and would think it a bonus to loose a few pounds.

I work out 6 days a week and I am trying to eat right.

I eat brown rice made with black beans for dinner with a meat - and I was wondering if that's a good choice and good for you.

Also sweet potatoes? Are those good for you?

the black beans were in men's fitness liek 3 months ago or soemthing and I read eating them was great... but they make ME gassy as a gassy thing!!

type of "meat" is a big factor in meat,, there is what I know..

All three are good for you.

Brown Rice & Sweet Potatoes (Yams) are both good sources of complex carbs and Dietary Fiber. These type of carbs are slow digesting carbs that woke spike you insulin levels too much. I would suggest that you have these earlier in the day tho, as the body tends to have a more difficult time metabolizing carbs at night. They are great with lunch (I had half a Yam today with a chicken breast and steamed spinach for lunch - I plan on running a 5K tonight so it's added energy).

Black Beans have the same benefits as the other two and also a good amount of healthy fats.

I would interchange all three of these but be careful combining too much together. Any kind of carb does have the potential to convert to fat at night, if you eat them late enough.

My two cents - I'm sure other people with more experience & knowledge will elaborate further.
