I'm not a very experienced runner, and although I've done it in the past (on a regular basis), I've never been able to run for more than about a mile and a half without needing to stop. I've got pretty fierce athsma, and was never into sports as a kid, so every time I start running again, I always seem to have trouble catching up with everyone else who can run a more average distance than my pitiful ass.
But I finally broke through the wall last night
I've been running a few times a week, eating right and doing cardio 4-5 times a week for about 7 or 8 weeks now. When I started, I could barely run a half mile before I had to stop, but last night I went for a run and lasted for about two miles, which is probably about average for most other people, but is massive, uplifting improvement in my case. I call this 'breaking through the wall' because, after I finished, I felt as if I could keep going, and probably could've lasted for about 3-3 1/2 miles if I had.
I guess it's pretty sad to get excited about something so mundane, but I can't help myself. Just thought I'd share my exuberance![Wink ;) ;)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
