Hi Bridgette :)

Welcome to the forum! This is such a great, motivational place, that I simply can't imagine now ever losing weight without it! I'm glad you found us :)

I just want to ask a little about your meal plan and your goal...96 pounds in 6 months is 16 pounds a month - that's quite ambitious. It works out to almost 4 pounds a week. How many calories do you plan on having a day? Do you know what your work out schedule is going to be?

I know you mentioned that you can do this because you've done it before, but I wonder if a reason you need to do it again, is because you lost too fast the first time around and gained it back when you finished "dieting"

I don't know about you, but I hate the idea of relosing the same poundage! I don't ever want to do this AGAIN...once is hard enough ;)

So, I guess my question to you is whether or not you think that 16 pounds a month, while possibly doable, is in the best interest of your body in the long run.

The great thing about coming here for me, is that I'm constantly reevaluating my approach, is this working, is it not, if it's not, throw it out and find something that does :D

Good luck to you on this journey!

I have to agree with M2M, Bridgette.. ALthough you have lost this much in the past, are you sure its best for you at the point in life you are at now? I am all for setting goals and doing your best to meet them, but I am concerned you may be setting yourself up for failure if you try to lose it too fast... NOT in any way critising - just hoping you are doing this safely and to keep it off - not just for quick results.

Hope you've had a good day :D

Hi M2M, I appreciate your concern it is always best to lose weight slowly but in my case, it not working for me. I will be doing a high protein diet which will be very strict and limited to meat and veggies. My goal is 96 pounds but I do realize it is a big goal and may not be accomplished but it give me something to strive and work hard for .

Hello BizeB , I have loss a lot of weight before years ago and kelp the weight off for many years . I even had a baby and went right back down to my healthy weight. I gain this weight due to emotional and physical distresses of life . After quiting my job to work from home the weight started to creep up on me and then before I knew it I was 40 pounds over weight . I tried my best to lose the weight which was a lot harder because I was so depress about gaining the weight that it would cause me to eat even more, go figure. then I started having back problems because of the weight and was down for 5months and gained another 50 pounds then I fell and broke my ankle in two places and had to have surgery and was down for another 4-5 months my highest weight was 258 I was a mess. I have lose 25 pound since then but it took about six month to do that and that's just to long for me. I don't have that kind of time I will be 60 years old before I lose the weight at that rate so I decided to buckle down and jump right into it . It's not imposable I look at it as a challenge so I'm going for it ....Wish me success I'm going to need it.

Today is my first day on my high protein diet. I was suppose to start Sunday but decided Monday would be a better choice.

I had 2 boil eggs for breakfast this morning and 16 oz of water

For lunch I will have a 3oz portion of bake skinless chicken a green salad with fat free Italian dressing and 16 oz of water.

I'm not sure what I will be have for dinner yet, but will record it in my dairy when I find out.....

Good luck on your diet!! You'll have to report how it goes. There are several others on a high protein diet and they were having some issues during the first week. Hope it goes well for you!! We'll all be here to cheer you on!

Thanks Manaloa, for your support . I will keep a update on my diet it can be difficult if you don't know the ends and out of the process. I use work for a weight lost center so I am well educated in that field, so I hope my journey in my weight lost will help others....thanks

Hi,

I think having a challenging goal to strive for is great. But make sure you eat enough so that you won't be starving yourself. I tried eating very little and exercising a lot before. And yeah i lost weight quickly but couldn't keep it up. I got so hungry i just didn't have enough energy to exercise or doing anything for that matter. Then old habits just creeped in and i gained it all back.

That being said, i wish you great success. :)

I want to wish you luck with your goals.

They are a bit ambitious (sp??) but besides that, I hope you can find a safe and healthy way to reach your goals. I was just wondering if this is a diet or a lifestyle change??? Have you talked to a doctor??? Just curious.

Yes, the diet is from a Weight loss wellness doctor. You should never be hungry you can have as much veggies as you want, and a normal portion of protein. You should eat until you are satisfied. The hardest part for me is getting bored eating the same type of food but I'm going to do it this time I'm going to find that will power I once had....
