Brewers Yeast!

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone takes brewers yeast and what do you think of it... Here is a link I found about it:

Looks like some good stuff, also it's really cheap, like 500 tablets for under $10. So what do you guys think?

Here is another, better link, has A LOT more info:

Never taken it, don't plan to. When I have time tomorrow I'll read up on it a bit...but I think its more like one of those "you either believe in it and take it, or don't and don't take it"...sorta like royal bee jelly, etc.

read the 2nd link, there was a study on this with 24 people... just read the links.

misleading article said:
Twenty-four volunteers, mean age 78, including eight mildly non-insulin-dependent diabetics
A mean age of 78??!?! Sounds like fungi to me!

So what do you guys think of this stuff? My Cancer doctor said I should try this stuff, just seeing what you guys think about it.

i dont see anything wrong with taking it. i bought some awhile back but havent added it to my meal plan yet. good source of b-vitamins.

Nutritional information doesn't lookd bad. Looks like a weak multi-vitamin with a little bit of protein:

I don't buy into marketing cures or difinitive health improvement products... I only pay attention to ingredients and nutrition labels. So I won't comment on that end of it other than: Read those possible averse health effects at the bottom of the second link. Probably avoided if you only take a small dose a day, and probably also dependent on peoples reactions to yeast. Some people can't tolerate it or have funny reactions in some cases, like some people and lactose.
