Sport Breakfast

* I searched the forum and didn't find any posts so I figured I would ask. Hopefully I didn't miss a very obvious post with an answer to my question

Ok, so I am horrible, and I mean horrible about eating breakfast. I never give myself enough time to make anything let alone time to eat before I have to get out the door in the morning. I usually don't eat until at least 10:00 AM and I am up around 6:30 or 7. I am wondering if having a "shake" in the morning could be a substitute for eating an actual breakfast since I can drink it while I am driving.

I have a feeling the answer is no, but figured I would ask. If this is a viable option, any suggestions on the drink mix to have?

If you need any addl information to make a judgement call, let me know. I will tell you that I am overweight and working on losing weight while also starting to lift and do cardio to increase my phsycial fitness. I am by no means in good shape yet, but would like to work towards that.

If you are serious, you need to make time for what your body needs. prep the night before. make time or stay the same.

Yes, a shake is better than nothing at all. If you could add a piece of fruit or something too, all the better.

I'd go for a blended protein...whey plus casein would be real good.

Defo, I did read its allways best to eat with a protein shake even if it is just one piece of fruit :)

Best of luck for the future~

i'm not big on breakfast either, but i make sure to eat something. i'm like a zombie in the morning and i need something that will go down easy...LOL! my breakfast usually consists of a banana and a tablespoon of natural peanut butter and a coffee.
i'm sure though that i'm not getting enough protein for breakfast but i figure, hey it's better than no breakfast at all. :)

It always used to be cigarettes and espresso for me. If I can find time now I have a full English breakfast with sausages, eggs, bacon, beans, fried tomato & mushrooms :)
I’ve also recently discovered whiskey porridge which is so nice you wouldn’t believe, haha

Oh yeah, this is a fitness site. ;)

Eggs are still a very quick option, you could make scrambled egg in a microwave in about 60 seconds so that's a quick, easy, hot & tasty option with lots of protein. Add in a slice of wholemeal toast and you're all set
