Sport breakfast

Is it really true that having something for breakfast helps weight loss? Is having a glass of orange juice with a cup of coffee considered having something for breakfast to get your metabolism going? I would like some opinions please. I am trying to lose weight and have been on a regular exercise program so I do not eat breakfast Monday thru Friday, but I have something for lunch and dinner. Once a week on Sat. I have a muffin and Sunday I have breakfast (which is breakfast and lunch) :)

yes it jumps starts your metabolism as to speak. but i have been doing this and it works for me might not for you but it did me.
Wake up,
go workout,
eat high protein breakfast,(whey protien shake, peanutbutter sandwich, and a banana)
and then start the course of 5 other small meals for the day.

So far it works for weight lost.

Don't skip breakfast it is the most important meal of the day( OR so i been told for ages)

Eating only twice a day is not only bad for weight loss, but it's bad for your health! To keep your metabolism at it's best you should eat at least 6 small meals a day, and eat at least every 3 hours. My guess is that with 2 meals a day your metabolism has become VERY sluggish. You are simply not giving your body the fuel and nutrition that it needs for survival. When you don't eat enough your body believes it's dying and holds on to your fat, among other health problems that can be created.
Yes, eat breakfast. How about some old fashion oats and egg whites?
Please, I highly recommend seeking the advice of a personal trainer or nutritionist to set up an eating plan to restore your metabolism. That will lead to healthy weight loss.

Hi, Racer.

You should definitely be eating breakfast. And as mentioned above... you should definitely be eating more than two times per day.

If you do not eat correctly, then your body will not drop its fat. It will store the fat and eat your muscle. So yes you may see the number on the scale go down... but you are not losing fat.

Besides that... you can workout all day long and not lose fat. You must eat enough calories to sustain yourself through your daily activities. Otherwise you are pouring sugar in your gas tank. It's not gonna work.

I'd also recommend getting on a goal oriented fitness and nutrition program. Preferably one that is customized to you and your goals. There are many sites that offer this. Mine being one of them. You can for info about my programs.

So yes... eat breakfast :)
