Sport Breakfast + Egg Recipes

Sport Fitness
Hey all

Just having my meal no 2. ive been having scrambled eggs made with 1 whole egg and 2 yolks, plus some pepper thrown in.

Ive had this every other day or so for a few weeks, mostly without toast or a carb. but now i'm struggling to stomach it. In fact, its horrible.

Does anyone have any ideas how i can make this egg mess palettable? Id prefer a low or non carb option but all ideas are appreciated!

How come i now can't face something i used to enjoy? I've always had oatmeal (or now Kashi) + a whey shake for breakfast (not ideal i know but it is convenient) and then egg for a snack before lunch.

Ive just forced it down but Rocky's raw eggs suddenly look very appetizing!

thanks
ben

I'm known for my fluffy super soft scrambled eggs. Usually ppl make them n they're hard scrambled eggs..n they're tough. After you scramble your eggs in a bowl, put the heat on LOW..very very low.. eggs dont take much to cook. Ne ways, pour in your scrambled eggs.. n keep stirring..dont stop..it'll be very very very soupy. keep stirring. make sure u stir the bottom too..so that the eggs dont stick to the bottom. Then as you're stirring, if you can see the bottom of the pan, then turn the heat up to medium-high n start stirring more frantically. The key is.. try to put the eggs on the plate before it looks cooked. If it looks cooked in the pan..then you've overcooked it. Make sure right before it looks cooked..set it onto a plate n it'll finish cooking on the plate. There you have it..fluffy fluffy eggs.

Not sure if you're an omelet person, but, omelets n scrambled eggs are pretty similar..just dont scramble it in the pan. I do add a little cheese..but you could add veggies..broccoli..peas..in the middle of the omelet. Then to top it off, after its all cooked and plated, I like to add a little bit of salsa dip on top of the omelet, it has a great taste..gives it a western/texas style omelet type.

My father used to be a chef in the US Navy, i learned to cook when I was 6. Bon Apetite!

Why no carb with your 2nd meal? And i am assuming when you put yolks you meant whites?

Regardless of that omlettes are indeed good. You can add all sorts of veggies.
If eggs are your only options i am afraid its limited other than varying how you cook them. You can add some sliced chicken and cajun seasoning, pur in egg, pop in the oven with a lil low fat cheese and get one hell of a fajhitta.

A point though, if you find yourself not enjoying what you are eating so much that you worry of it making you turn to worse things then just change it all together. Grab a whole wheat turkey wrap, do a massive protein/fruit smoothie, make some "fried" baked chicken using oatmeal and whole grain instead of white flour and deep oil. Not getting bored with food is key to maintaing a diet sometimes. Instead of board eating, i do bored cooking and just come up with all kinds of healthy things to eat that are different. Thus the hushmuffins i just came up with were born!

You can add a few more egg whites and ditch the yolks. Add some real cheese to the mix for your fat source and you'll be able to stomach it.
