Sport Brand New to Dieting, Personal Help Needed

Sport Fitness
Hey all, I will try and include all the information about myself I can as to what exactly I am trying to do. To start off, my stats:

21 years old
Male
6'
315 Lbs
Size 42 pants and barely fill a 2xl shirt (Im a lot smaller then what I weigh)
Unknown Body Fat

Ideally I would like to lose 100 lbs. So I know this will be a long journey. Right now my diet is crap for the most part and is not on any type of schedule:

[Daily]
Lots of Water, Protein (Whey and/or Chicken & Steak). I cook none of the meats, so it could be a variation of anything from Fried Chicken to Chicken Parm. The Steak is always med with some steak seasoning. Usually includes veggies of a sort. Sometimes a potato. Pretty much "home cooked" type meals.

[Breakfast]
If I wake up early enough, its usually raisin bran.

[Lunch]
Could be anything in the house, lol

I read the stickies and still have no idea, it seems a bit overwhelming. According to "Nutrition 101" my BMR is near 4,900. Seems pretty high for a calorie intake to lose weight. Perhaps I misread.

My workout routine is this:

[M,W,F]
Upper Body (Chest, Arms, Neck, Abs, Upper Back), High Reps, Low Weight

[T,Th]
Lower Body (Sqauts, Calf Raises, Lower Back), High Reps, Low Weight

Also looking to throw a cardio workout in there. Just not sure of the best days to do that. Just looking for some advice on what kind of diet I should be following. Again I'm not looking for someone to make me meal plans. Just generals on what I should intake. If I have left anything out, feel free to ask any questions to receive more info. Thanks a bunch everyone

wow, I must have written the worst thing ever, I didn't even get flamed for anything... Interesting... :sport:

Cook your own food, fried chicken is a no no, either broil or grill it on the bbq, steak should be something you eat once in awhile.

I would definatly start some cardio, 4 days a week for an hour long. If you read the sticky not sure how to simplify that, just add lost of greens veggies, and water. Also start thinking about messuring your portions, start eating breakfast and spread your meals out thoughout the day, your progress go as fast as you will it too. eat less eat often do cardio alot. From what i read thats the starting point
