Box squats vs bottom rack squats

i was wondering what the main advantages for each lift are.
i know that box squats take out the eccentric stretch reflex of the lift, and westside barbell HIGHLY advocates them(only type of squats they do).

however, what is the difference between box squats and bottom position rack squats(where you put the bar in the bottom squat position, wedge yoruself under, and drive it up. each new rep begins from the bottom on the racks).

form would probably be better in box squats i assume. its more natural and probably easier to engage the hips and use the hip drive.

thoughts?

i know its probably not vastly important, just wanting some good opinions. :hug2:
