Box Jumps

Anyone else get 'the fear' when doing box jumps?

Tried my PB yesterday and did it wohoo:) Not before 5 mins of 'nearly' doing it and stopping at the last second. Anyone know a way to get around it?
 
I max out squats, not box jumps.

Perhaps you could set a string at a certain height and jump over it... there's no way to eff that up.

Have you tried not being a wuss?

Haha, kidding. But not really. Anyway, the string thing is a good idea. Or just do wall jumps with markers (and a mirror if necessary). Or simple verts. There's no "risk" then. But honestly it's pretty hard to hurt yourself with a box jump. Worst you're gonna do is take a chunk out of the bio-veneer on your shins like I do roughly every time I am in the gym. Other than the weird looks I get, I hardly notice. ;)
 
Ahh string. Thats a good idea. I started doing box jumps because of the WSFSB work out and I've found them pretty good(I still squat though, but its nice to try something different)

Took a chunk out of my shin today.....makes me look tough:)
