Bond, James Bond...

Any one like the fact that there is a new guy playing Bond? im not very fond of it, i mean he doesnt even look like Bond, ugh a little disapointed.
any one know why they switched them?

I believe that P. Brosnan either quit, or refused to renew his contract. Either way, he was old as hell. This new guy seems to fit the part just fine.

Daniel Craig looks pretty ripped.

How gay did that sound?

Looking forward to it, released her this Friday. Is it showing over there yet?

i think craig is great actor, layer cake was the dogs testicles
all these people are writing him off before his even had a chance. personally i think he could be the best one yet, the original charater was dark and craig could do the job well imo
anyways this guy looks by far the most strong and muscle bound bond yet.
btw, im straight lol

James Bond should (and has always been) mysterious, suave and sexy. In my opinion Daniel IS all those things. He's got an awesome body and piercing eyes.

I think that people ARE writing him off because he's not as well known in the States. I've seen him a couple of movies, seems to be a great actor, I think he'll do the part justice...

I didn't really care for Peirce when he started as Bond but he kinda grew on me. I'm think it will be the same with the new guy. I'll see the movie because it is a Bond movie.

clipse

Daniel Craig is the 1st real Bond.

The others were good (Sean Great), but Craig acts Bond closer to the books than anyone ever has before. Bond is not supposed to be overly cool, its not how he was written, its just fitted Sean and Roger so the others followed suit.

Yeah...Russ hit it. In the books, he's fat, clumsy, and not very bright. :)

I've been really iffy about the new actor fitting in the Bondish type. I'll reserve my final judgements for after seeing the movie. And I can't believe some of you guys/gals think Pierce made a bad looking Bond.

I like these myself :D
There he looks like one of those things from Lord of the Rings.

I don't think he will be a good Bond, just doesn't look the part to me.

1. Sean Connery
2. Roger Moore
3. Pierce Brosnan

I think that this new guy might end up turning out to be like that other Bond guy that did 1 movie and got fired lol. I don't think he will be around for too long. I will still see the movie, but IMO I'm not a fan of his image so far. But we'll see, he might be amazing.

yeah i guess after thinking it over, ive decided my favorite was roger moore, and then i just got used to brosnan recently, but i guess well have to see how the new guy does. . .cant wait to see it.

LOL - no thats not what I ment.
I mean Danel Craig acts James Bond how he was written in the books. All the others have been as swarve and sickly slick. James bond was written to be mysterious and rugged, and Craig Danel is the 1st Bond to get that down to a Tee.

This is how bond was supposed to be.

Lewis Factoid - John Fleming (007 writer) moved to Kent (where I live) to play golf.

I think the writers are trying to tap into the new trend for a flawed, rough looking hero like Jack Bauer. I want to see how it works with the new guy but I have to admit I used to like the old Bond image of a Teflon coated persona with a dark core. I think the new guy seems a bit too 'Action Man'.

It'll be interesting what we all think after we see the movie. I think I read somewhere that some of the other options were: Jude Law, (too metro) Ewan McGregor, I think they said he was too short, Clive Owen (yum) I think he would have worked.

The movie comes out this week right?

I like clive Owen but I dont think he would have been a very good bond based on his acting in Sin City.

I think I should have been bond!

But Dan Craig was cheaper.
