I've been thinking alot about positive body image lately. I wonder why it is so difficult to look at ourselves and see what others see? I think it is especially difficult for women. Lately I've been trying to take the advice/outlook of some of my male friends. I am told that when they see us naked, they don't know what our problem areas are (unless we tell them - yeah don't do that!), so their eyes don't know to go to the problem areas. Instead, they focus on the parts that look great. And they see the "whole package". They don't think "hey I've got a women here with large thighs", they think "hey, I've got a naked women here". So, I've been trying to look at myself like that - see the whole picture and if I focus on anything - I try to focus on the parts of my body that I like.
It's not easy! But hopefully over time I will develop a new way of seeing myself.
