Body Fortress?

Is body fortress whey protein good? Just picked it up at Target with a giftcard i had left over from christmas. only $11.99

This is the same stuff I use, and I asked the same question in my thread. I just don't feel right using a protein mix from walmart that cost $10. It tastes great with milk, like a malt. With water though, I almost threw up. It digests very quickly. I take it 2-3 times a day.

I had a question as well. I workout every 2 days and I drink a protein shake when I get home from the gym. After working out I go in the steam room and shower, so by the time I actually get to my shake an hour has gone by. Is this okay?

If you are doing cardio, I don't think its a big deal. If you do heavy weights, you want to get protein in your system as quickly as possible. They are in a complete state of shock, and need protein fast. I see guys driving away from the gym with the shakes already waiting in their cars. I live just 5 minutes away, so I just mix it up right when I get home...

You shouldn't be mixing it with milk either, that will slow digestion, which you don't want.

Don't mix with milk? I seriously came really close to puking when I had it with water. Are there any good mixes that taste good, or at least drinkable with water? Maybe I'll just start bringing mix to the gym and have it before I hit the showers.

Also another question, I want to take protein at night before I go to bed, but whey digests too quickly. What is the other kind called that digests slower?

Non-fat milk would be fine post-workout. Fat is what slows the digestion of protein. 2g fat isn't going to kill progess really either, on a side note, but 0g fat would be better.

Casein, found in cottage cheese.

It took me awhile to get used to the switch from milk. Just use a blender and put in two ice cubes to get that cold taste.

I used to use Body Fortress but then all the Wal-Marts around here discontinued it. I thought the chocolate tasted awesome. Now im using 6 Star Body Fuel....it tastes great as well.

Dont get too caught up in all the marketing and labeling BS of these protein mixes out there. Its not like one is going to give you a lot more muscle than another. The differences are too subtle and not that critical. Whats IS critical is the remainder of your diet and your work-out routine/schedule.

Protein powder isnt magic so just find one you like to drink and all will be fine in the world.

Body Fortress

I have used Body Fortress Whey Protein for 10 months now. My goal is to gain mass and tone muscle. During the last 10 months I have gained over 30 lbs of muscle and great gains in strength. My results were noticed immediately by family member after not seeing them for months. I like Body Fortress protein. Mix it with nonfat milk, it taste better than most whey proteins on the market that i have tried. Supplement it with Body Fortress' Advanced Creatine and NoS Blast. Makes a great stack for under 50 bucks.

Well this is a dug up thread. I really like the BF chocolate flavor. The creatine is flavored nonsense which I can do without.

I dont think there is a casein protein out there that doesn't taste like crap. Its taste like something id expect Bear Grills to eat.

Dymatize actually makes a great casein. I think it's called "Elite 12 hour" or something like that. The vanilla flavour is....mm...*drools*
