Sport Blood Type Diet

Sport Fitness
What is everyone take on the blood type diet? I know from personal experience that when I don't eat the foods that are listed as no-nos according to the blood type diet I feel a whole lot better than when I don't.

It suggests for type 0s (which I am) to stay away from wheat and dairy. If I don't my body feels the effects of eating them.

Does anyone have an opinion or experience with the blood type diet they would like to share?

I haven't really approached it from a blood type point of view, but do consider that wheat and dairy are particularly common allergens. Many people are lactose intolerant and do feel better without any dairy or at least with only consuming dairy that has gone through some sort of fermentation - yogurt or cheese for example. Wheat allergies and gluten intolerance are on the rise in the population and span a range from mildly irritating/inflammatory to deadly.

I'd guess the majority of the population would benefit from the elimination of one or both of these potentially inflammatory and or allergenic foods.

I'd like to see clinical trials be done before I put any validity in something like this. I could see how different food chemicals would react with different antigens and antibodies in the blood, but the guy that proposes this diet seems to base everything on evolution and guesswork, not biochemistry.

I am not lactose intolerant. But if I consistently eat dairy eventually I will get an upper respiratory infection. But you are right gluten intolerance is on the rise. A lot of grocery stores are jumping on the gluten free bandwagon.

Clinical trials would be helpful to see. I have not followed the blood type diet to a T, but there are certain foods that it suggests not to eat for my blood type and when I eat them I pay the price later.

I know from experience when I follow the blood type diet as best as I can I feel great, when I don't I feel like crap.

Sorry , I have no idea in this diet . But ,I read this and learned lots of knowledge .
