Blood taste during prolonged high intensity

So I had been riding my bike a lot, but not really keeping my heart rate up. What I have been doing lately is I do not stop pedaling, and try to keep the pace constant. It is a lot harder than the way I was doing it before, but it is getting me into shape quickly. Something I'm wondering about though is a blood taste I get after prolonged periods. I haven't really had colds or sinus crap lately, although it seems like my sinuses are constantly slightly clogged. When I get this blood taste there is above average mucous production.

hey, well being that you live in AZ, I imagine the dry air is screwing with your sinuses, but also it could be your mouth.

I would go see a Dr. and tell him your symptons but also see a Dentist.

No its completely normal when working at anaerobic threshold, anyone who has ever done a wingate test for anaerobic threshold knows the taste. Dont worry about it. Its the blood seeping through mucous membranes.

Working at anaerobic threshold? I wouldn't think that this would be anaerobic, but maybe it is. I'm not really sure. I suppose it could be

I have gotten it lots. Even now, i am pushing hard in som open water swimming as i revover from an injury, and I got it yesterday... Gotta love it... it is maxing things....

I have never got this taste...
None the less, he was talking about biking which is aerobic not anaerobic.

Its not If his anaerobic threshold is low. What is anaerobic for him can be different from us.

If I bike at 200% of my vo2 max is it aerobic? Negative, everyone has different anaerobic thresholds and if this individuals is low then it wont take much to reach it.
