bird chest..... ca-caw ca-caw!

ok guys for the longest time i've been the inconsistent 2 or 3 or 4 day burst kind of worker outer. and now i'm committing myself to working out 4-5 days a week. my worst feature is a "bird chest"... i'm 6' 4" 210lb and my upper body is what needs the work. I'm not over weight or anything i just need to gain some muscle weight up there.. i've started by doing butterflies.. what else should i do?

better yet what do you guys recommend for some intermediate upper body workouts?

The best chest workout is getting on the bench, that simple. Alternate between flat bench, inclined and declined. Butterflies are good as well.

I suffered from the same problem and am getting GREAT results from push-ups and pull-ups. Vary them from narrow, normal and wide. My chest has grown noticeably in a months time.

I've learned you don't want just a big chest. Lats, abs, shoulders, and arms all compliment each other...otherwise, with just a big chest, you' look like a girl, you'd have boobs...but of muscle, lol.

regardless of what you do; if you do not do it consistently you will see no improvement and you will always be a sniveling, flat chested, too tall, puke! :p

so- get accountable. Go check out the team journals, they are under Mens Health, then Journal, then click Team journals. If you are serious, pick a team, and interject yourself and be accountable.

work out consistently, posts your workouts, and we will help you.

Or i should say- those who can help you will.

how's that!

I haven't benched in months. I get great results from weighted dips and military press
