Biochem books! wohoo :D

I finally got myself some biochem books. Damn, this is interesting stuff! :D I've been reading about lipoproteins, some about amino acid metabolism, and lots of stuff :D

I've got:
Lehninger's Principles of biochemistry 4th ed
Biochemistry 3.ed Lippincott
Harpers illustrated biochemistry 27th edition

Don't ask me how I got them, lol.

What biochem books are considered to be "the ****" by the way?

BTW: If anyone wants any cake, they should PM me, I have cake.

wow.. I thought that stuff was like watching dry wall dry in college. glad to see someone interested in that. If you really want to learn more about human body, try a Mamalian physiology and/or nutrition book (college bio level). Biochemistry is great but too micro-level for everyday usage; just my opinion. But understanding the micro-level will help you understand the macro side so I see it's importance... oh well. A few tens of thousand beer / drinks later, I cannot recall that class anymore.

Biochemistry is THE ****! I LOVED biochem.

But I took it before the atom was discovered ... :p

hahaha :p that must have sucked :D

Next I'm gonna read up on how hormones affect metabolism and a part in the book about obesity and a "lipostat" (a hypothesis, I think :p)

It was really interesting to read about how different defects in different proteins or genes (same ****, really) affect your lipoprotein levels.

Not sure why but that was one of my favourite lectures. An amazing girl in the class probably contributed to that sentiment :p

I know how that is. When I studied english we had this Italian exchange student in the same group session as I was in. :jumping:

you thought it was boring? What did you study in college?

Graduate with a bio-engineering degree.
