Biking + TaeBo = Results?

I'm currently biking 30 minutes a day and doing TaeBo for 30-40 minutes. I'm weight training as well but that's ever other day. Are there any suggestions or cautions about doing cardio like this? I figured I would try it for sure and certain a couple weeks (12 days) and see how much progress I make. I was running/walking before this but I kept reading about biking having a greater weight loss impact than running. Any thoughts?

I stationary bike about 20-30 minutes 5-8 miles does this
count for biking? Tammy

Running/walking, or cycling would both provide a good cardio workout so will lose the pounds, but I don't know if there is one which is more efficient than the other... certainly there seems to be a lot of attention on walking at the mo saying what a good all-round fat burner it is.

Hopefully somebody on here will be able to answer your question in a certain way. :)

(niapage... I should think using an excercise bike is just the same as real cycling providing if have the settings so that the resistance alters... so that it's like cycling up and down hills, etc, rather than just the same easy setting all the time.)

I think the biggest advantage to chaning the kind of cardio you do is keeping it fresh. I get bored doing the same thing for a long time, and a change brings a new challenge.

i like the sound of what ur doing, id say do it for a month before you critisize it, 12 days will not really be long enough, a months is ok 3 moths however will give better results to base ur decision on

its a good mix and i like the fact you already intend to stick to it, just make it a little longer :)

because its easy, it is quite good to start with but like anything else it is popular because it is easy

the problem with this is when u stick to it you make virtually no progress at all, workouts should be hard

This is working for me right now! I lost three pounds last week and I had a bit more energy which meant more running instead of bicycling at times! I will keep this up. I'm doing advanced Tae Bo and no weight lifting now.
