Biking and FOOD..plz I never get replies, EVER!

Hey guys, I just bought a new bike a few weeks back, and went out riding, and found this Really Long Biking trail with lots of twists and turns. I have two questions, first off Is biking a good way to burn calories? ( I'm pretty sure it is, just wanting a second opinion ) and secondly, what kinda of low cal, healthy meals can I/should I eat? Any suggestions?

Btw im 15 years old, about 5' 10" and weigh about 160lbs (im about 11 stones-a stone is 14lbs or so I'm told. Im looking to get to around 150 but build muscles back, I used to go the Gym every other day for about 4 months starting from 5-26-06 and ended at 9-21-06. And yes I am aware that muslce mass has a weight as well so basically I want to lose 10 lbs OF FAT
Anyway, PLZ help! I'll take any insight I can get!

If you're a male, good luck on that... I'm 5'9" and got down to 153 this winter, skinny as a rail, and felt so weak I had to stop.

I started biking a couple of months ago and lost a lot of fat/inches, although I did not lose weight per se. I am eating about 2000 cals a day, sometimes a little less. I'm a girl though and so my physiology is obviously different; I do find that I need more calories to fuel the exercize.

AWESOME! ya I hear ya on the girl thing a few of my girl-friends( as in just friends) have a hard time shedding pounds, although most of them are like mega thin, you're not skinny but think you're fat or overweight do you or w.e?
btw, wanna be my weight loss partner? :) my old one lives too far away and our time zones are split so um...ya? its ok if not, its basically just setting goals and then comparing our progress, its cool if not! :)

well the thing is I worked out a lot but then I got kinda chubby since the beginning of the summer, so If I shed the "fat" weight I should have some decent muscles- quote from my trainer.
