Bicycling

Anyone here into recreational bicycling? If so how many miles and how often do you ride. I ride our tandem with my husband on Saturdays and try to ride my single on Sunday. Tandem we will ride 30 + miles, on my single right now only riding around 20 miles, but will get into more miles as summer progresses.:D
 
I love to ride, where do you ride on road or trails. I ride trails atleast 2 times a week for about 12 miles.
 
I ride only road, locally mainly. I have a Litespeed touring frame with mountain bike components. I could never get use to the drop handle bars so I have mountain handle bars, which makes it a lot more comfortable for me. My husband and I also have a tandem which we love to ride. On the tandem we will usually make it a 30 - 40 mile ride, stopping for lunch, which makes the long ride worth while. On my single, yesterday I did a 40 mile ride, which I haven't done in a long time. I'm an explorer and love to find out where different roads go or head out to new places. I have Candy SL mountain bike pedals, which I love. Another great form just on bikes is check it out.
 
I love biking and a friend of mine has just turned me onto a new outdoor fitness machine called Rowbike...has anyone ever heard of one of these or tried one?? If so what did you think about it??
 
Well the rowbike is something I have never seen before. It does look like a lot of work and I guess you would have to have good coordination in order to pedal and pull at the same time. On flat ground it might okay. I don't think it would work very well on hills though, you can't put the weight behind the pedals. If your friend has one, try it out before you buy. Great news! I tryed out the Rowbike this weekend and let me tell you it was an awsome experience!! It was amazing how easy it was to ride and what a workout it gave me!! I will admit it was a bit tough to go up hills in it but then again its tough on a regular or a recumbent as well. What I really liked about the machine is that it works your whole body and since your outdoors you dont get bored like you would doing this sort of workout in a gym!! Definitaley check one out if you get the chance:)...thanks for your comments...keep em coming!!
