Beverages

Okay...Beverages. Juices, Sodas, All and all of the thirst quenching universe....WHICH IS THE BEST FOR HEALTH, FITNESS, AND WORKOUTS? I've heard water is good. Some drink protien shakes. Some do healthy juices. Some don't care and drink whatever they want. I would like to know what to do. i'm 15. About 6 foot and weigh 135 to 140. I am working out three times a week and trying to get my abs to show(as well as working the rest of my body). So...*sigh*...pppllleaasseee help me out. If I'm trying to loose bodyfat and get my abs to show and such, what should i drink?! Water? Milk? lol...just give me wutever advice you've got. please.

holy hell, 6 feet and 135lbs? im 5 9 and 150 (i feel fat now). well anyway, go water, or if you want, fitness water. too much sugar shouldnt be a prop, since ur already so skinny. but since u r skinny, u definitely wanna alot of protein.
 
In an earlier post you said that you wanted to gain muscle and lose weight...I do not think that's what you want. You want to get your total body fat percentage down. However, you are already rather underweight, so I would concentrate on GAINING weight. Yes, some of this weight will be fat, but some will be muscle too. Once you have gained some weight, then worry about definition and cutting down to see abdominal muscles and so forth. You need to eat.

Also, republican, just because you weigh more than him and you're only 5'9" does not mean that you are fat. I've been reading many posts where people act as if all weight is composed of is fat! However, muscle weighs more than fat. Your weight is composed of both muscle and fat. I'm only 5'10", but I weigh 205. My body fat percentage is in the 7-9% range. Body fat percentage pretty much determines the way your body will look. A person with a bf% around 6 will look very defined, and their muscles will look as though they are constantly flexed. On the other hand, a person with a bf% of around 15% will look soft and not defined. These 2 individuals could be the same height, person 1 could around 195 lbs, and person 2 at around 155, and person 1 would still look much more defined. So, that is why I really do not put as much emphasis on weight as society leads you to believe with their "Lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks" ads.

Okay, but thats the thing, I've been reading up alot on fitness and health. Thign is, if u want muscle mass, u ahve eat, if you a six pack u have to diet. So...I dont care about mass. YEs, I'm gonna keep working out so wut fat i do have can turn into muscle and at least keep SOME muscle mass up, but I'm mainly wanting my abs. I dont carea bout losing weight ur right. I wanna lose bf% so i jus wanna lose the fat layer on my stomach to sho my abs. I'm look for more of a skinny cut look, not a ripped cut lok. in other words, im lookin for justiberlake...not 50 cent or ll cool j...though-they look great!
 
oh i remember something! take lots and lits fo AMINO ACIDS. these help get rid of fat and create muscle, thus not losing weight but dropping bf%. there was a clinical study, and most people remained the same weight but lost at leasta couple of % bf! so try that. although im no sure where u get amino acids...
