Between Sports

Hey guys. I'm looking for not a defenite what to do but some tips on what i should.

My and my freind we're both freshman in high school, both cross country/track runners, and we run about the same pace, are between track and cross country, and we normally run everyday, just kind of what we feel like distance wise, but we were wondering, if just keeping in decent shape would be good, or if we should find a way to actually get training, not just conditioning. Not sure if this makes much sense, but if it does get back to me thnx.

Running every day is a great start. Depending on what events you plan to during track season weight training and plyometrics might benfit you, there is plenty of great info you can find if you search for this.

Another suggestion is not to do the same runs day after day. Vary your training, and gradually try to increase how far you run each week. Distance running basically comes down to the more time you spend out running, the stronger aerobically you will be. The key is to do this while getting adequete recovery.
