I'm a 22 yo female, 130 lbs, 5'0". For as long as I can remember, I have had extra stubborn fat around my belly, hips and inner thighs. I walk a LOT because I live in the city and don't have a car....but this doesn't seem to do anything. I joined a gym last year (I don't live there anymore)
I did strength training 3 times a week for 1 hour.....(strength training is body sculpting right? like using a stretching band, exercise ball, various positions like being on your hands and knees with one arm out and the opposite leg out.....being flat on your stomach lifting your legs up...is this strength training?)
anyways, I didn't lose any fat at all.
I now have access to a treadmill, and a bike.
What are the best exercises I can do that will help me lose fat in the areas I had mentioned? Will running on a treadmill for 30 min 4-5 times a week do anything? Should I buy some weights? How heavy? What exercises should I do with those?
I also have exercise videos but I never use them because I tried the 45 min cardio video and I couldn't even finish it, I got exhausted and felt like crap all day long and had no energy. I like to have a lot of energy through the day/night and I am a night owl. I don't like to get up early to exercise.
I also consider myself pretty healthy, so I don;t know why those videos made me feel like that. I don't think I eat that badly, I don't like to be obsessive about what I eat, but I try not to eat a lot of greasy food.....I don't even really like it that much. I like carbs, though......cutting down on carbs seems pretty impossible for me.
