Sport Best time to consume fats and carbs

Sport Fitness
I assume the best time to eat much of your carb allowance is during breakfast for energy, Correct?

With muscle gain and less fat gain in consideration when would the best time be to consume your carbs and fats?

You should get a balanced meal of carb, protein, and fat at most meals throughout the day. The only time that might change is around your workout. If you eat very soon before your workout (about 30 minutes), you want something like quick digesting protein and some faster digesting carbs. If your meal is 60-90 minutes before a workout, I would get all of the macros. Post workout, same deal, fast digesting protein and carbs.

Other than that, balance them throughout the day. It's not a bad idea to eat higher carbs for breakfast because it might help keep you fuller and start you off with decent energy for the day, but it's also not entirely necessary.

Spot on!

If you didn't know, its important to limit fat consumption post workout. Fats post workout can effect the speed of protein digestion. More specifically, slow it down. Keep it to mainly fast digesting carbs as well as protein. A lot of people suggest a 2:1 carb, protein post workout, but everyone's body varies.

Nothing like a Banana and Whey after a workout. Again, adjust the carbs accordingly, but a medium to large banana usually offers about 40-50grams of carbs and a typical serving of whey will yield about 20-25grams of protein with trace amounts of fats and carbs.
