Sport Best steaks?

Hey all,
Since starting to eat clean ive been eating a lot of chicken, was jhust wondering what kind of steaks are clean so i can eat a little more variety. I dont usually eat steak so maybe once or twice a month at most would be the limit. Tonight though i did go out to roadhouse grill, a steakhouse, i had a 12oz flatiron steak and 10 shrimp combo, all grilled with a sweet potato. Just wondering if anyone knows how to put this kind of steak into fitday? I just used "steak lean only eaten" and the 10oz i ate came to a bit over 500cal. Would you concider this a clean meal?
 
lean steak is better than fatty steak, which is better than diet lean ground beef. red meat still has more saturated fat though...but if you're eating clean otherwise, then a little beef won't be a bad thing...full of aminos, creatine, and protein.
flank steak, round steak, sirloin is what I stick to. flat iron should be ok too.
avoid t-bones, porterhouse, ribeye...all very fatty.

marinades of oil and vinegar, or meat tenderizers help these cuts which often aren't super tender.

obviously new york strips, filet mignon are good too, but pricey.
 
even 95% lean ground beef has more saturated fat than a lean cut of steak.

its not that its 'bad' is that its 'not as good'.
i eat ground beef, just not real often.
 
Wow....i had no idea that 95% fat free beef was still so fatty!! Its off the list...okay thats extreme, i'll just limit it to a burger every few weeks. =)
