psytrance FTW ! i dont mind a bit of rap and i really love litle jon his music gets u ****ing amped ! but his words are a bit dumb lol

All great music that is good to train to is by bands whose names start with an M.

Maralan Manson
Megadeth
Metallica
Melvins
Ministry
Man of War
My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult

You can't beat a bit of Euro-pop dance music to workout to, Fragma, Lasgo, Tiesto, Flip & Fill etc... It's good to listen to but it's nothing more than candy floss in content so doesn't engage your brain while you listen to it. I find that if I start to think about stuff while lifting my performance drops

DJ sasha, DJ snatana, Euro 99, MxPx, TRANCE, TRANCE, TRANCE,,, and some gospel type "our God is an awesome God" stuff!! did I mention TRANCE! Techno TRANCE!!!

feel better smithmacjine- gotcher back on this one.

Yeah, these guys too, the music is devoid of any value or quality but has a good pace to it and is so generic that it fades into the background while you workout. Europop rules!! :D

I listen to a bit of everything on a day to day, but in the gym.. while lifting, I'm with you C-Mayhem, i need something hardcore if anything at all. On my HIIT days, I have a friend that makes beats, so he made me some tracks, 30 - 60 seconds long and thats all i listen to, it doesnt have words. When the beat changes, i run, when it changed again, i jog.. or whatever.

Yea I use some of my beats as well, I play around with FL Studio Producer Edition. If I could rap I would be all set.

Gotta go with rock - classic, folk, heavy, light - rock.

I'm just too white for rap, that's just all there is to it. :p

(ok, lighten up)

The whole techno, club music stuff doesn't do it for me either, although a good beat is nice for cardio.

Now, for a crawfish boil? .....

Hank (Sr or Jr), Creedence Clearwater Revival, and other various classic folk/country style beer drinking music.

I big into David Hasselhoff. He really gets me pumped when working out.

If I'm not listening to the Hoff then its Korn, Metallica, Marylin Manson, or NIN. :)
