Best equipment to use in the gym for my BUTT...

I've been exercising in the gym for about 7 weeks now. Also dieting. Losing some weight. My problem is I think my butt is getting BIGGER and not smaller. And I've been working my butt off in the gym 5 days a week. Using the elliptical (burn 300 - 400 calories), bike (100 - 150 calories) each visit plus working upper body on circuit machines. Is it possible that the elliptical is making my butt bigger?? Everything is fitting tighter and it looks wider and bigger. I'm currently 5'3, 130lbs., D cup and I've always had a filled out butt. Any suggestions for making my butt smaller?
