All choices depend on the individual's body type, and how it responds to certain ratios. Using myself as an example, when I first started eating clean (July of last summer), I tried so many different ratios of macros. It took me until recently to see how truly sensitive my body is to carbs. It not only took me time to see that, but to find the optimum amount of carbs to consume per day to keep the body fat off.
My ratios would be somewhat like 50/30/20 (P/C/F), with the only carb consumption being pre-, post-, and postpost-workout (for the most part, a few grams carbs with low-carb bars I eat while I'm at school).
You gotta try everything out for yourself dude, can't listen to just one of us---the next reply might be someone who needs high carbs to get cut up--it happens! that's the beauty of the human body...we all vary.
