Benefits of vitamin D

Hello, I am new to this; I want to share something that I’ve just learnt which can be beneficial for anyone. I have quoted this to show you:
Vitamin D is important for maintaining strong and healthy bones and protects against the rickets and osteomalacia (softening of the bones in adults caused by inability to properly deposit calcium). People who do not receive direct sunlight for at least 45 minutes per week should make sure they are getting enough vitamin D through fortified milk and dairy products, or taking a vitamin D supplement like Calciferol , calcitrol, cholecalciferol, ergocalciferol or a multivitamin containing vitamin D.
The new research made by some specialists that vitamin D may be a powerful cancer preventive and most people should get more of it.
Can anyone tell me more about vitamin D?? Does someone really need vitamin D in his body??
 
sunlight is the safest bet. if supplementing, use vitamin D3 cholecalciferol. it is safest and most effective. vitamin D2 (what is in milk/dairy and most multivitamins) is a synthetic derivative, is not naturally present in the human body, and in some instances can do more harm than good.
