Bench Press Questions

Hey guys, ive just recently started taking my weight lifting training very seriously, it had always been somewhat of a hobby of mine throughout my teens but I never really put together a proper workout, did the research or took it very seriously, not that im getting older though I would really like to start doing things right.

Im one week in to my workout routine now and decided I should probably do some research to make sure im not messing things up too badly, seeing as how its not all that hard to completely ruin your muscles by overworking em an all.

anyways I was benching 3 times a week, Monday, wednesday and Friday, and resting over the weekend. After some reading though im worried I could be seriously damaging my muscles. Many sites recommended not benching over twice a week (a good number even suggest once) and to space it out over at least 2 days or so. My muscle are not any more sore then usual though and I feel great, but I really dont want to goof my body up in the long run and I know now that overworking can hinder results

I dont do super heavy lifting anymore, I keep it in a moderate range of weight. my workout was consisting of

Benchpress
5sets of 8reps

Dumbbell press
5sets of 10reps

Incline bench
4sets of 8 reps

Incline dumbbell flys
5sets of 10reps

Decline Bench
4sets of 8 reps
