My question is what do I need to do to loose fat in my belly,?I try to go regularly to the gym but during the last 6 months I noticed that my belly got swollen....maybe I don't excercise enough?

Hello,

First and foremost, losing fat anywhere on your body begins with nutrition. Are you counting your calories and making better choices when it copmes to the food you are putting in your body? If not, ask and I can give you some tips. It all begins with the ABSPOWERDIET (Mens Health magazine (but is applicable to women too)).

Next, are you weight training as well as doing cardio? if not, you could be burning off more muscle than fat. The more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will burn and higher your metabolism will go.

I'm sure you do crunches, but are you alternating your ab exercises? Doing as many crunches will only build up a tolerance and eventually you will reach a plateau. Think of your abs as 3 sheets overlapping one another. Are you exercising each area?

These are all just thoughts. You should definitely tell us more about your goals, current nutrition and exercise routines, etc. We'll be able to more efficiently answer your questions this way.

You can't lose fat on certain parts of your body. [ie. targeting one spot and hoping to just lose it there]

You can continue to work out/eat right and keep losing weight, but the stomach fat will only come off as fast as it comes off, when it comes off.

I'm sure Steve or someone has a more technical explination as to about the swollen part, but as a general rule, you cannot target weight loss really.
