The other day I was listening to an interview of a well respected fitness expert (can't remember who he was), and he said something that has stuck with me and I thought I'd share it with everyone.
When we see someone who's incapacitated in a wheelchair, we typically feel bad for them. We think, "How horrible it must be not to be able to move freely with your body." We know that it's a bad thing to not be able to move, yet most people dread exercise and activity. We take for granted the blessing of being able to run, bike, stretch, and dance. Seems pretty ungrateful, doesn't it? Why do we not want to get up and move when we would do almost anything not to lose the gift of mobility?
We should be grateful for our bodies and exercise them. Our bodies want to move, that's what they're designed to do. To be sedentary in life is to waste the gift of a fit and able body. That's why we should look forward to and enjoy exercise, and not look at it as a chore. Just something to think about
