beginners workout

Hey,
first of all I'm new to this forum, so I don't really know if I'm posting this on the right place. :s
But then on to my question: I'm actually feeling to skinny. So I'd like to do some workout to get a little bit more shape. Now I have been doing some pushups and things like that, but I don't see a lot of progress (knowing that I've been doing pushups for about 3 months now).
So my question is: can someone give me some tips for enhancing my workout? The most important thing is that I don't have much time (so a short workout) and I don't really have weights.(but I do have some 'heavy' objects :D)
Any suggestions?
