Sport Beginner's Daily Workout Diet

Sport Fitness
I'm a 19 yr old male, 5'8-5'9 150lbs and about this time last year I started to workout but it only lasted about 5 months. I didn't take it seriously back then, but I've decided to start up again. I know your diet plays a huge role in gainging muscle mass and definition, however I don't know where to start. As I said, I plan to start working out in about 1 weeks time and I'm relatively new at this, so keep in mind that I don't want a diet that is too complex and I can't keep up. With that said, maybe give me a basic list of foods/supplements that I should try to consume, and other foods i should stay away from. I don't think that I will religiously track the amount of intake (i will estimate), but you can still add that in for when I make the transition from beginner.

Much appreciated.

Go to his articles and read up there. That should answer almost all of your questions or at least incite new ones.

Foods you should be consuming:
oatmeal (not instant), fat free cottage cheese, tuna and other fish, beef and poultry, eggs (preferably the whites), fruits and veggies, natural peanut butter and other nuts(if you need to gain weight), milk, and yogurt. Depending on your carb sensitivity--rice, pasta, potatoes, yams, and whole grain bread

What you should avoid:
high fat/high carb foods, processed fruit juice, candy, flavored oatmeal, white bread, bagels, rice cakes, most breakfast cereals, some "fat free" snacks (read: trans fats), soy protein, and I hate to say it...alcohol (okay to indulge from time to time).
