Sport Beggining working out but am not crazy about the Diet.

Sport Fitness
I have been running on an olyptical for about a week and a half now just so I can start getting use to exercise which I never did before. Now I am going to start doing P90X and you are required to follow a Nutrition guide to meat the results which I want so badly. But when I look at the foods they are recommending I know I do not like almost all the stuff, I hate vegetables which I know are important but I decided on Drinking Diet V8 for that. Here is the PDF Format of the Meal plan I will be following its the Phase one part.

What I weigh right now is 230 LB's I'm 15 and i think my height is 5'9 but I'm not sure. Some of this stuff I cannot follow on the guide because of school. Can anyone give a picky eater some advice? Thank you!

Yes: quit being picky.

Seriously Food is just fuel man. So put the premium fuel in the tank and go!

V8 won't cut it (and its loaded with salt!)

If you go through life eating crappy processed foods, you'll lead an unhealthy life on so many levels beyond just 'fitness' and 'body fat percentages'.

Think about all the sacrifices people have made in history...people dying for what they believe in.

Do you really believe you can't find veggies you like, and ways to prepare them so they don't suck?

Dig deep...you'll find the resolve you need to do it!

Scathe, you can do it man! I always suggest that you can find at least 2 vegetables to like. Find those and eat those like crazy. after a week or two, add or change to another 2. keep rotating and finding good recipes to eat them with.

You've taken the first step already: resolving that your lifestyle needs to change and be healthier. This is the next step of that journey.

Which would you rather be picky about: the vegetable not being incredibly tasty or all the baggage that comes with living unhealthy? Trust me, within weeks of changing your eating habits you'll quickly start to like the vegetables and meals.

Oh, if you really want some V-8, get the low sodium kind.

I kind of figured their was no way out... :/ V8 had my hopes up :p I've tried most basic vegatables like Carrots, Corn, Broccoli, and Grean Beans and some more but I did not like any of them and most made me Gag. It's something about the texture... I guess I'll have to tough it out. Thanks for the advice. Can anyone recommend a fruit liek vegetable? Lol :p

Edit: I just went up and looked at the V8 bottle, Is 30MG of Sodium a lot for a serving?(Which is what I'll be drinking)

I used to subsist on frozen chicken fingers, pasta and takeout, so I get where you're coming from. I still don't like most raw vegetables, except for baby carrots and that's only if they're smothered in hummus; the trick for me was integrating them into my meals. If they're cooked and part of a really good recipe with a tasty sauce, I actually love them. I never thought I'd say this, but broccoli has become one of my favourite foods (but only in the context of a good stir fry!)

If you want to eat truly healthy, support your lifestyle change and fat loss goals, and avoid some of the nasty additives in processed food, one thing you should eliminate is typical store-bought salad dressing.
I personally NEVER buy pre-made salad dressings from the store anymore why?
because almost all store-bought salad dressings contain fairly large amounts of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Unless you're in a health food store, it's almost impossible to find a salad dressing that doesn't contain large amounts of HFCS.

I honestly have no idea why people use salad dressing at all. You have a plate full of delicious vegetables all with their own distinct flavors and textures, and then you dump a bunch of crap on it to hide the flavors??? Dumb.
