Sport Been feeling kinda tired. Can anyone help?

Sport Fitness
Alright everyone. Here's the situation;

I go to sleep at 9pm. I wake up at 5am. Everysingle morning.

I work out everymorning at 6am - 7:45am~

I take breaks about every 3rd day, usually just some light strectching, but I am planning to change it by adding in some leg exercises, becuase my mom told me that my legs look somewhat small when compared to my upper body.. -_-''

I do 20 minute circuit training every day, with the 3rd being a rest from it. I work upper body on one day. I work biceps, triceps, pecs, shoulders, upper back. 4 sets, of 12 reps of triceps, pecs, shoudlers. 4 sets of 15 reps of upper back. 4 sets of 25 reps of biceps.

Following day, I specifically focus on the abdomen. Bicycle maneauver, leg raises, crunches. 4 sets, 20 reps of each.

Now, the real problem is that lately I've been feeling rather tired everyday after school. I take a cold shower everyday after school. I just don't feel like I have the energy to sit down or focus on school. As a result, I think for the first time in my life today I achieved lower than an 80% on a biology test. -_-''

I am somewhat worried, since I am in grade 11, and these are the years where it begins to matter. I began great, and told my mother that I would do very good this year. But lately I have been failing to do so.

My question is could this be a nutritional thing? I mean, I think I eat great..I can't have been really eating WORSE than before, seeing as how now I am limited myself to the "healthy" stuff so to speak.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please...a persons whole future could depend on your responses... XD

do you eat throught the day? you brain and bod need fuel and if it doesn't get it it can make you feel low. if your blood sugar is bouncing all over the place it will make you tired. glucose feeds your brain. or maybe you just need a break for a few activies?? i'm in exams and i'm beat for me i know its the stress of mid terms. hard to say really take a look at how you feel otherwise and what is going on in your life. if its pretty smooth it could be just diet.

Yes, I'd say I eat pretty darn steady.

Eat breakfast at 7:35am. Eat snack 1 at 9:40 am. Eat lunch at 11:10am. Eat snack 2 at 3:20 pm. Eat dinner at 5pm.

I don't eat too much sugar foods, I guess.. I do eat at least 3 fruits daily. 4 if you count my breakfast strips. And vegetables of course, for like...dinner.

I am in the 12th grade and had this exact same problem over the summer. I figured it to be not getting enough calories (which I don't think I was) or not enough sleep (I was getting only 5-7 hours a night). When I fixed both of those I still felt fatigued and tired all the time even when I cut back cardio. This may be all in my head but I stopped putting sugar substitutes in my oatmeal (I put alot of this stuff in it and I ate oatmeal 2-3 times a day) and I haven't felt really tired all the time since even after upping my cardio quite a bit. Although I am sure a little is fine, I was probably just OD'ing on them and my body was probably just using any energy it could to get this crap out of me. Then again, I might be just full of it, I don't know but I hope you awake again because feeling tired all the time is not fun.

Lower than 80%...I almost wish I was in that boat again. On the last calc test I scored a D. With a curve.

I don't know what to say besides it might be in your head. You may be a little more tired than usual but you end up dwelling on it and it turns into something that seems serious. If it gets persistant then you could try taking naps.

Are you talking about studying at home and not having energy or studying in school and not having energy?

I don't really know what to tell you because my study habits have deteriorated rapidly since a few years ago, which was the height of my studious actions.

No, in school I seem to be completely fine when it comes to school. But when I come home, I feel like if I went to sleep right now, that i WOUld fall asleep like a baby, well, I would fall asleep quickly. -_-''

I really thought it was because I was doing SOMETHING wrong with my eating. Could not enough calories or fat cause this? I'm not worried about protein, since I am sure I eat at least like 30g a day. Not ideal, but when there is nothing to eat with protein, I manage to get at least 30g.

Anyways, I guess you're right. It could be just in my mind...but my body feels rather tired...

Do you have any problems focusing or concentrating for extended periods?

Hardcore training can lower your natural l-tyrosine levels, which can lead to very mild depression, which may only reveal itself as symptoms of loss of energy and focus, especially in the gym.

Luckily, l-tyrosine is a very in expensive supplement. Should be under $10 for a 90 tablet supply, 500mg each. I'd start by taking 1gram a day, about an hour before you head to the gym, although timing with this supplement isn't terribly critical. Both brands of NOW and Paragon are nicely priced and of good quality.

Are you taking any vitamins? when? How much "sugar" do you consume? Pop? Candy? I remember in High school when I switched from pop to water I felt better, went through less crashes when the sugar ran out, and overall had better stamina.

The only sugar I get is from fructose. And I dont eat sweets, pop, anything. I just drink milk and water. And I take about 2 multivitamin pills daily.

what about your sleeping ... do you toss and turn or lights out until the alarm rings? I found that taking some calcium/magnesium an hour before bed time helps me sleep better. Also, I've found that taking a multi after 3pm usually does not assist me in getting a deep restful sleep.
